what's the point of the ipad

Before is say this I do not have nothing against the Ipad its just pointless to me in my opinion. Whats the point of buying it. Me I think people buy it to say that they have it thats stupid but people do it. Its just like a bigger version of the iphone and ipod. They all do the same thing is you think about it. They all can download apps get on the internet and listen to music. A plain laptop can do that. I guess Im not really into all of that just give me something that have the internet at a reasonable price then i am set. Dont get me wrong they are net and look like they are very user friendly. My mom just got a iphone and she do not see the point of the apps you still spending money on them so they all are not free you can get a facebook app which you can do from your computer. Everything you can do with it a computer or laptop can do. I guess im missing the point or something or im just old fashioned. I really do not know but i would not buy it for me. Only if i own my own business and need something small and portable. Until then I will not be fully involved in the evolution of technology.
