The Top Three Worst Twitter App for an Iphone user

Hello, I 'm back once again. Today I'm going to tell you about the Twitter applications that are absolutely horrible. I have tried many applications for Twit
ter over the past few months. As I have before, I am addicted to Twitter. Therefore, I am pretty knowledgeable about the applications for Twitter. There we
re many applications as well as many applications that were horrible. As I mentioned in my previous blog, Echofon, Twitbird, and Hootsuite are the best applications for an Iphone for users. They simply have more to offer than many of these other applications. In this blog, I am going to list the Top Three Worst twitter applications for iPhones. Twitterrific tops the list as the number one WORST twitter application.

1) twitterrifficWhen I first began using this application, Immeaditely loved it. It was easy to navigate and it keep my tweets coming in on time. My impression of this application would shortly change. After about a week of using the application, I started noticing errors. The first thing that stood out to me was the fact that it would often forceclose whenever
I tried to tweet or mention someone. For those you who are not knowledgeable about Twitter, mentioning is when you reply or write another user. At first, it only did it occassionally but later, it started doing it often. Another problem with this application was that it used to completely kick me off of twitter. This was the ONLY application that has ever blocked me from using twitter. Not only could I not use that application but it blocked me from using other applications as well. I had to constantly uninstall and re-install this application just to get it to
function properly. I eventually got tired of it. That's when someone told me about Echonfon. The second Worst Twitter apllication would be Ubertwitter.

2) Ubertwitter
This application was horrible from the beginning. It was not easy to navigate at all. Uber
Twitter had the worst format ever. I could barely read down my timeline because of how horrible it looked. The font and the font color just was very helpful at all. I was constanly missing mentions and my followers tweets. There was only one this I like about this application : the mute feature. The mute feature just allows me to temporary silence someone. It was quite handy. However, Ubertwitter did not show all of my followers' tweets. It seemed like it only showed certain followers. That really bothered me. So, I did not keep this application very long. I think I uninstall it after two days of using it. I was absolutely not impressed with this a
pplication by any means. The 3rd WORST Twitter application would be the Twitter for Iphone application.

3)Twitter for Iphone Application.
This application is sponsored by Twitter. This application is okay but it has a few problems as well. When I first downloaded this application, I was pretty excited since it had the push notifications feature as well. However, I never received my notifications until hours after it had been posted. That made the whole push notification feature pretty pointless. Not only was this a problem but the application was constantly crashing. When I was using this application, I crashed at least 12 times. I was completely annoyed and to removed this application. This application was definitely one of the worst applications ever created for Twitter.

Thank you all for reading my blog, I hope it was very helpful to those of you how have Twitter and an Iphone.

We Luv 2 Text!

Texting has become one of the most popular forms of communication. It is fast, easy, and convenient and has destroyed our use of the common English language. Texting has made us very lazy, and it is the new tool for starting and ending relationships. Texting has strongly affected our current generation and will affect future generations. Texting has come in the way of our ability to communicate and taken away hand-written letters.

Another huge impact texting has had on society is the new law that has been passed in many states saying it is illegal to text and drive. If a police officer pulled you over, he could write you a ticket for texting while driving. This is because of the increase number of wrecks that have happened caused by distraction while using your phone. I think we can all admit that while driving, we have picked up the phone and sent a text. Texting has become a second nature for us, and people today rely heavily on this form of communication.

Texting has become the easy way out for everything. I for one, know that when I really want something from someone instead of simply asking in person, or calling him or her I send a simple text message. Not having to come up with courage to ask someone face to face makes things much less painful. It is also much easier to say no to someone when they text you. For example, I had someone text me about taking a shift at work last year and it was much easier to say no through a text then it was when they asked me in person. This form of communication has made it easier to deal with awkward situations.

Also, as busy as our society has come, it is much easier to send a text here and there while you are running errands or even driving like I discussed earlier. When you call someone whom you have not talked to in awhile it seems like your conversation could go on for hours. When sending a text, you respond when it is convenient for you.

Texting has become even more popular since the release of the Apple IPHONE. This device opened up a whole new generation to texting for not only teenagers but adults as well. This device has a full keyboard, which is much easier to understand than the old ABC format. Parents have now realized it is much easier to keep up with your children via IPHONE. Not only does this device text, but it gives you three ways to communicate: texting, email, and the new upcoming source of communication, Facetime.

Dear Skype

 Dear Skype,

If it were not for you I would probably be single and homesick right about now. For this I owe you my most sincere gratitude. Thank you.

          Your Friend,

              Jordan Blackburn

All joking aside, Skype really has been invaluable in my efforts to maintain many of my nearest and dearest relationships. Skype calls to other users within the Skype service are free, while calls to both traditional land-line telephones and mobile phones can be made for a fee using a debit-based user account system. Additionally, the program has also become popular for its additional features which include instant messaging, file transfer, and video conferencing. Whether it is a video chat with my family while studying abroad, voice calls to my friends back home in Oklahoma, or quick text messages with my boyfriend in England, Skype has enabled me to easily keep in contact with the people I care about despite the distance that separates us.  As far back as my middle school days of AOL Instant Messenger and costly text messaging on my Nokia 3310, technology has played a central role in my communication and social efforts.  Though Skype was introduced to the nation in December of 2005, I didn't become an avid user of the program until January of 2009 when I spent six months in Ireland and it became a necessity. Had I known beforehand how easy the process of downloading Skype was and how simple it is to use, I might have been a believer long before my over-seas adventure. For those of you foreign to the Skype downloading process I have provided you with the needed information below:
  1.         Go to www.skype.com
  2.         Under the “Get Skype” tab select your chosen method (ex: Windows)
  3.      .  Select  download “Download Skype”
  4.         Follow the four easy steps provided on the website.
  5.         Create a screen name and password
  6.       Once you have logged into Skype simply go to “Contacts” and begin searching for and adding all of your family and friends to your Skype Directory!

Personally, I use a HP Pavilion dm4 laptop which comes with a built-in camera and microphone, but if your computer does not come with these features you can always purchase peripheral devices at Wal-Mart or practically any run-of-the-mill electronic store.  That being said, the quality of built-in cameras (such as my HP MediaSmart webcam) are typically superior in both graphic and sound quality and tend to come with other added bonuses, for example, my software came with a program called “Effects Room” which allows you to add visual graphics to your video chats and photos! (see photo above)
In May of 2010, Skype released an updated client application for the Apple iPhone which allowed Skype calls to be made over a 3G network. I use this program on a daily basis because it is not only convenient, but also cost efficient. By loading my Skype account in $10 increments I am able to make my long distance calls for a fraction of the cost I would otherwise be charged for by my network provider (AT&T).
Because I live so far away from the majority of my loved ones, Skype has literally become an essential part of my life. As silly as it might seem, I really do owe Skype (or at least its Swedish creator, Niklaz Zennstrom) some genuine appreciation, because, if I was still stuck with a lagging AOL chat room and a $300 monthly cell phone bill, it wouldn’t just be my personal relationships that would suffer, but likely my entire relationship to the wonderful world of technology!

10 Reasons Why I Love My iPhone

The iPhone is a brand of smart-phones designed and marketed by Apple. According to Wikipedia, the first iPhone was introduced on January 9, 2007. It serves as a video camera, camera phone with text messaging and visual voice mail, a portable media player, and an Internet client with e-mail, web browsing, and both Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. The user interface is built around the device's multi-touch screen, including a virtual keyboard rather than a physical one. The iPhone 4 is now available through both At&t and Verizon service providers.

I am a satisfied At&t, Apple iPhone user. I have owned the 1st generation iPhone and now own the iPhone 3GS, so I've been an iPhone user since the beginning. I have many reasons why I enjoy using an iPhone, but I am going to list only ten.

1. I am a multi-tasker, and the iPhone allows me to multi-task efficiently.

2. I can listen to my iTunes account without carrying both an iPod and an iPhone.

3. I can take pictures and record videos without needing a digital camera.

4. I can access or view my e-mail from various accounts on the go.

5. I can shop online safely in the palm of my hand.

6. I can use apps to help me stay up to speed as well as be organized.

7. I can customize and organize my homepage to fit my liking.

8. iPhone cases and covers are available almost everywhere, so my phone stays cute and protected.

9. I can talk and text at the same time when I want to, so that way everyone is happy.

10. My information stays synced with my Windows Photo Gallery,Windows Contacts, and Internet bookmarks and favorites.

I'm sure other iPhone users can add on to or agree with these ten reasons because there are so many things that one can do when he or she is an iPhone user.

Generation 1(iPhone 2G):

Generations 2 and 3 (iPhones 3G and 3GS):

Generation 4(iPhone 4):
